Morné Swanepoel

 

Morné Swanepoel was born in Somerset West, South Africa, in 1971. He studied Graphic Design at the Cape Technikon and Sculpture at the Port Elizabeth Technikon (now Nelson Mandela University) and graduated in 2000. He was a founding member of the art group FUSION. Between 2000 and 2005 he taught at various Schools (PE Technikon, Russel Road College, PJ.Olivier Art Center) and exhibited in South Africa and Taiwan. In 2006 he moved with his wife to Switzerland where he studied at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, graduating with an MFA in 2009 and at the Pädagogische Hochschule Zürich receiving a Teaching Diploma in 2019. Since 2006 he taught Art and Design at various Educational Institutions and exhibited in Switzerland and Germany.

2010-12   Study Fine Art at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. MA Fine Arts / Major in Art Teaching / Graduation project: Sculpture in Public Spheres. 
2017-18   Study at the Pädagogische Hochschule Zürich. Teachers Diploma for SekI-Werken.
